Down the Rabbit Hole
Cyanotype Process
Inspired by Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Down the Rabbit Hole explores dreams, pursuit of happiness, and escapism. The images are achieved by using different methods of the cyanotype process. The flowers and leaves are motifs used to represent the fantasy of an idyllic and perfect world and also the fantasy world itself. The journey begins with a woman dreaming about a better world. Deep in her thoughts, she falls "down a rabbit hole", seemingly bringing her own fantasy to life. In the other world, she is transformed. She fits right in. The only problem is, it is all just a dream, not a reality.
